I imagine that this it a WooCommerce problem and probably not a Dante theme problem, but I would just like you to try and confirm that for me? Issue listed below.

Every time I include an absolute path (so that customers can directly download a file upon purchase), I click the update/publish button & http:// is added to the front of the path. This breaks the direct download link for the customers. For me, this only happens on the “Simple product” and not “Variable product” downloadable virtual product file paths. I am getting all kinds of phone calls from customers with broken links & I am having to manually send them emails w/ attachments.

    Should be this –
    Downloadable Files:
    Name: WiFi Password (8″x10″ Printable)
    File URL: wp-content/uploads/woocommerce_uploads/2015/01/WiFi-Password.docx

Turns to this after publishing or updating –
    Downloadable Files:
    Name: WiFi Password (8″x10″ Printable)
    File URL: http://wp-content/uploads/woocommerce_uploads/2015/01/WiFi-Password.docx

    downlink

    Using WooCommerce Version 2.3.5

    Hi,

If you use also the name of your site you will be fine. That way you have it the path is wrong.

    Should be like this

    www.yoursite.com/wp-content/uploads/woocommerce_uploads/2015/01/WiFi-Password.docx

Then it ads the http and it will stay fine.
