Hi getting white screen of death after pushing to staging environment.
Running fine locally on a WAMP, I did a push to staging, also a WAMPset up and the front end is showing the following error in the web inspector:GET http://mainstreetpictures.twofourstaging.net/ net::ERR_CONNECTION_RESET VM167:1
Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property ‘hasAttribute’ of null global-shortcut.js:9Strangely the back end admin works fine as does single post view, albeit with an error message about page title when wp_debug mode is true.
Any ideas?
September 25, 2014 at 10:27 am #114397OK so I found the cause. If you remember yesterday I contacted you about creating a single pager.
That was fixed by adding an ID to the row element.
The problem now is that ID.When I have a row with default settings and add a Swift slider with default settings it works fine. Once I add an ID to the row element I get the white screen of death?
Does this help?
Thanks,

What is the id value?
Can you try and change the ID value and adjust the css code?

September 25, 2014 at 11:26 am #114430Hi the ID values are just basic – home, about, news, bio and contact. I also tried some wildcard ID’s like eggs and Bacon.
Strangely, if I remove these ID’s and save it still does not work. I have to delete the Row and then re-add the row and NOT add an ID.
Have got the whole site up now but without ID’s so single page nav does not work.

Can you please try and update Joyn and let me know if that fixes the issue?

Something wrong in you server settings.
I installed Twenty Fourteen theme(you can delete it please) and have same problems when viewing the pages. Now the site is displaying but if we need to see a specific page the blank page appears again.
Can you enable Wp-debug and also contact your host to ask them for further information and errors in the server log.

October 1, 2014 at 9:58 am #116260Hi,
I’m sat next to our hosting engineer so hopefully will be able to work through it.
We tried wp-debug and it doesn’t output any errors nor are there any errors in the logs which is why it had me scratching my head.
We have a number of WP sites running from this box with no problems.
Do you know what settings may be affecting it?
Thanks,
JamieOctober 1, 2014 at 10:04 am #116265It’s an internal connection error, maybe some change in the htaccess.
Like you said in the initial post it was working fine on your local install.-Rui
