    Hello,

I cannot view my website anymore. I updated to the newest WordPress Version yesterday, and now the whole site is blank.
But i can still acces the WordPress Dashboard. I deactivated all the plugins, but it still doesn’t work. I also asked the hosting service, but they say there is something wrong in the plugins or in the theme. How can I fix this?

    Regards,

    Vincent Jongman

    Hi,

    Can you open your wp-config.php file and enable the debug mode? define('WP_DEBUG', true);

    Thanks.

Ok, I do not see any errors.

Can you please activate the Twenty15 theme, then report back.

    Thanks.

Also with that theme it is not working 🙁 So maybe it is not an error in the theme. I don’t know what to do now.

    Hi,

Yes you are right, at this point please contact your host and specifically ask them to look at the error logs. Let me know what they update you with.

    Thanks,
    David.

Do you have a backup of your website? Did you modify any parent theme files?

Yes. I have a back-up. But I added a lot of new posts and changes lately. So it would be nice if I d not have to use the backup.
I didn’t modify any theme files. It was working well yesterday. But after the new wordpress update it won’t work. I have another website with cardinal installed too, but with the old WordPress version. That one is working fine.

Edit: now the other themes are working. The problem is definitely in the Cardinal Theme.

Sounds like you may need to re-upload the theme. “_up0” is not part of our theme, yet the error is saying that is in the header.php file.

    Hi,

Glad you are back on the right track. Please revert the above debug change.

Please open your wp-config.php file and disable the debug mode define('WP_DEBUG', true);.

    Thanks.

Thank you very much for your help.
Everything is fixed now. All I had to to was reinstall wordpress via the dashboard (without loosing anything) and update the network, and reinstalled the cardinal theme (also without loosing anything).

Everything is working as it should be now. Thank you for your help.

    Regards,

    Vincent Jongman.
