    My website is SLOW.

I resized all my photos to the sizes you have on the demo so it is not as slow as before.

But your demo runs super fast in all of the browsers I’ve tested in and even tests faster!

My tests 78% slower while yours is 79% faster.

I’ve added Authorize.net for woocommerce and remove admin bar but I do not think those make that much of a difference. My host is HOSTGATOR (unlimited everything)

At this point I’ve had multiple people with different service check it out and it still remains the same.

I’m wondering if you have any thing you did in your demo that would help me to have a faster loading site?

    Thanks, much appreciated.

I have noticed a lot of themes I buy from themeforest seem to be slower than their demo.

    Hello opaquelion and bryonstout,

most of live previews these days use http://wordpress.org/plugins/w3-total-cache/. It speed up site by caching.

You can find tutorials online how to install and setup this plugin.

    Hi opaquelion!

It took me 25 seconds to initially load up your site.
Around 10 seconds are spent to load up http://www.opaquelion.com with a status of 301 moved permanently.
After that it takes another 4 seconds before even something in the theme starts loading.

The actual website itself takes around 10 seconds to load, which can be tolerated and is a mere result of the amount of images and content you have on your homepage. So I’d recommend talking to your hosting company maybe and check if they know what’s going on?

    Cheers

Themeforest themes in general are slow because they are made by freelancers who wants to supply themes with as much options as possible, they are not made by full teams working for say, a professional agency.

No wonder your website is slow when so much code is involved in showing the slightest simple thing. Take the style.css file for example, more than 8000 lines of code…

mpr186 I’m sorry to let you know that you are mistaking ๐Ÿ™‚
I work in support forums of several elite authors on themeforest and I’m happy to tell you that the amount of one-person freelancers is roughly the same as the amount of full grown agencies, with real office and stuff ๐Ÿ˜‰
I don’t know where you get your information from and what your level of skills is, but let me tell you that the size of a company does not say anything about the quality of an item.

What is true tho is that the huge amount of features of a theme adds up to the loading speed. So in order to optimize it from this point of view the best idea would be to hire a dedicated developer to strip out all the code and features you don’t need for your individual website.

    Cheers
