    Hi all,
    I am trying to work out the best way to show a soundcloud player on my home page and i thought http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/soundcloud-is-gold/ would work but i’m not sure how to make it work with the pinpoint theme i’m using and the swift builder thingy.

    Any thoughts?

    Gave it a quick spin and got it working http://awesomescreenshot.com/0201fa03ba however it’s a widget so you can only put it in the sidebar or footer

    I’ll try and get cosmin in here to see if he can give another way if possible to put a widget in the main area

    Hey guys,

    To have it in the main content area, you would need a plugin that also provides a shortcode. Widgets can only be used in sidebars.

    you can use a shortcode for the sound cloud is gold plug in too you don’t need any other kind of plug in to do that

    but to be honest you’ll find copy pasting the code from the share box on the SC site a load more reliable than this plug

    so can someone list the steps of how to fill in the code?
    which kind of post used, which area/field/where to paste it?
    anything else to pay attention?

    1st: choose a song on soundcloud, e.g. https://soundcloud.com/torus/torus-pyramid-clip
    2nd: Click the “Share” button
    3rd: Copy the Widget Code. e.g. <iframe width="100%" height="166" scrolling="no" frameborder="no" src="https://w.soundcloud.com/player/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fapi.soundcloud.com%2Ftracks%2F84732211"></iframe>
    4th: paste the Widget Code to a Text Section in your WordPress installation.
