Is it possible to have the video from Vimeo to automatically play in fullscreen when the user clicks on the play button?

I have added the custom code to functions.php from a previous thread to add the full screen button to the player itself, but I would like it automatically go to full screen when selecting play.

On an iPhone it automatically plays at full screen however on an iPad and browsers (Safari, Firefox and Chrome) you have to manually select the full screen button.
