The MP4 video on the homepage is neither displayed on the latest version of Firefox nor on mobile. On the firefox browser it’s just showing the loading icon of dots – see attachment.

On mobile version it’s just showing a black background.

I am not making use of child themes.

You’ll need to upload videos in ogv/webm as well as mp4 for full browser compatibility.

For converting between formats, we’d highly recommend MiroVideConverter – http://www.mirovideoconverter.com/

    Hi,

You should select a background image in the slide as a fallback to display when it’s not possible to load the videos, because it’s not possible to autoplay the video in mobile devices.

This is really urgent as we are about to launch.

I have provided .mp4, ogg, & webm on the Swift Slider.

In Firefox and mobile it falls back to the background image. Video does not play.

    1) I have the correct mime types and they’re in the .htaccess files.

    2) I’ve created a html file and coded in the .mp4, ogg, & webm and that works in firefox. Rules out server and configuration issues and points to the template.

    Please can you help.

I will post as a new thread so I can provide you login details.

    Hi

Videos can’t autoplay on mobile, so it makes the whole sense of a video background pretty pointless unfortunately – that’s why we implemented a fallback to the image set in the row for mobile devices.
