Two days ago I placed a support question, but upon to now…NOBODY reacts 🙁
When I bought two pinpoint themes a year back, support was excellent, mainly by Ed, this made it possible for me to continue working on sites which I was building for my clients. But now I just can’t go on working, missing expensive hours and hours…frustrating my client that it is just taking too long etc.
I need a.s.a.p. answers to the following questions…PLEASE..that is; if you can make the time?
I’ll try again……
1. Fancy headers…(posted this two days ago)
I have checked this thread:
http://support.swiftideas.net/forums/topic/a-few-styling-questions/And see that the recommended image size is 1800 x 500, (but in another thread 1200 x 500 is mentioned for the exact same question though) but each time the image is totally blown out of proportions?
Any idea/suggestions on how to fix this? Also, is it possible to make it less high? for instance 300px, maybe by using custom css?
2. Need custom css code to make the woocommerce widget smaller in width.
3. Fusion Shortcodes don’t work.. when selecting one and clicking on “insert shortcode” …nothing happens
4. Woocommerce shortcodes problem; when selecting just one category…I see all of the products showing up even from other categories…all randomly scattered around the blocked content box…This is just a few of the stuff that is blocking me from building a shop/site with this oh so cool looking theme…
I am truly very disappointed, the theme’s manual is not in depth enough…and support…well…there is none…at least so it feels…
Not what I was used to before with you guys… the support that was given and trust that I therefor had in your themes and service, are the two main reasons why I’ve bought for a third time a theme with you.
P.S.: and NO, I don’t want to put up a link for all to see!?
If you need it, (finally)respond to me and I’ll provide you the details in a private response…Hope to get a reaction from one of you before end of 2014
January 30, 2014 at 11:01 am #45768Hi Tynus,
Apologies that you haven’t gotten an answer sooner, I’ve been busy working on Dante v2.0 – which will be released today. We’re in the process of expanding our support team, so that we can get back to the quick response time that you’re used to.
However we do appreciate a little patience, given that your posted topic was without our 48 hour response policy.
1) What version of Dante are you using? If you can provide a link I’ll see what’s up.
2) Which WooCommerce widget?
3) Not heard of this plugin before, unfortunately it’s impossible for us to support all plugins right out of the box, especially given that the plugins are usually at fault.
4) Would suggest using the Page Builder assets we provide, but if you provide a link I’ll check out what you’re seeing.
Can you clarify where the documentation isn’t in depth enough? We’re here to listen to feedback, but would appreciate something constructive.
That’s absolutely fine if you don’t want to post your link for all to see, but simply adding it in a private reply immediately after would speed up the process.
Thanks,
– Ed

2) Ok, well to do this you would need to edit /woocommerce/single-product.php, replace it with this code (or add the structure to your child theme): http://pastie.org/private/0igwak0wobldzlcypkkyvq
3) No, that is part of Avada – we have our own Shortcode Generator.
4) Fixed this for you, thanks for letting us know.

Since this totally messed up my site.
I’d just like to have a custom css (if possible) to make the woocommerce sidebar on a single product page smaller (more narrow).
Also still open:
– Please also explain what the exact dimensions should be for a background picture in the fancy header.– The hight top/bottom padding of the fancy header, how can I make it less high, more narrow? Do you have a custom css for that, please?
– Also just wondering; would it be possible to use the parallax video as a fancy header? Or is this not possible?
Hope to hear from you soon.
Thanks
February 7, 2014 at 3:06 am #47177Hi,
Sorry for a delay in response.
1. You want to reduce that right 4 column in to less, http://take.ms/rVgHG , what happens if you put Ed codes in to woocommerce/single-product.php in your Child theme?
2. 330px is the maximum height, if you have title and subtitle in the fancy header. If you don’t have subtitle it is 290px.
3. You can adjust the fancy headers padding like this.
.page-heading.fancy-heading { padding-top: 40px; padding-bottom: 40px; }
put this in Custom CSS. If you reduce the padding, the fancy header height also reduced that I said in point #2.
4. This is not possible by the default options.
Let me know, what you got.
Thanks,
laranz.February 7, 2014 at 7:45 am #47210Hi,
I really think you guys have to think of a better support system. Each time that I reply on your support replies, I have to wait for 4 or more days to get the next response…. Since each time that I respond in this ticket/thread, I’m getting pushed back in the queue… This is not ideal…to say the least… Or is this not the case and am I just unlucky that it only happens to me?Allright, hoping for the best…
1. When I use this php code that Ed has sent me, the whole layout is totally messed up… it’s a total mess.
The width problem (see also this thread: http://support.swiftideas.net/forums/topic/width-problem-after-update/ ) arises, and it just looks horrible. So this is not the solution. But I wrote that already 5 days ago in this same ticket…please give me a solution, isn’t there a custom css for this to be able to get this woocommerce sidebar more narrow/less wide?
Also it is not totally clear to me what I should do with this php file. I’ve tried two ways;
I have uploaded it inside the child folder, then I’ve made a woocommerce folder inside the child folder and uploaded it there, but both ways are giving this problem with the layout.
BTW: When I compare the original single-product.php file with the one that Ed has sent me, I notice that there are 163 lines in Ed’s file and 171 lines in the original single-product.php file. Maybe this helps?Anyway I’ve disabled it now, because this won’t work.
There are more people who are having this same problem, see also: http://support.swiftideas.net/forums/topic/sidebar-width-3/
2. So if I understand it correctly, the hight of a background image for the fancy header should be 330px or 290px (depending on using the subtitle), correct? What is the width for this background picture then?
3. This custom css works, great! Thank you.
Hope to hear from you today.
Thanks
February 7, 2014 at 8:02 am #47216Hi,
Like you said unfortunately your tickets are missed, now I take charge of this thread. I will reply with little delay as possible.
1. Try this single-product.php http://d.pr/n/Ea1z if you still want to reduce the sidebar and content width, adjust this two lines marked http://take.ms/pPX8t
2. If you upload a bigger image it will adjust to fit on those fancy header width, if you want the same width of the fancy header then you can try those exact width for image too.
3. Awesome 😉Let me know, what you got.
Thanks,

1. awesome 😉
2. Actually that is the full width container, it takes the width of the browser. So it is difficult to say the width of the fancy header area.
3. You can add this in Custom CSS.product_meta p .need-help { display: block; } .product_meta p .leave-feedback { float: none; }
So that it can lined up, one by one below.
Let me know, what you got.
Thanks,

Apologies again for the delay, I’ve assigned the topic to myself so that I can get a response to you quicker.
I’m not seeing a fancy header image on that product, did you remove it?
Can you let me know what browser you are seeing the related products issue in?
Thanks,
– Ed
