    Hi, wp_posts is a database table which can only be accessed via phpMyAdmin. maybe you can get your hosting company to do it for you?

    Filezilla is for the files, not the database. Not sure why it won’t let you delete the old items. I would suggest hiring someone to delete the items in phpMyAdmin. If you don’t have a trusted developer I am available for work.
