Hello again! Sorry to clutter up the forum.

I run a “members-only” shop, and require all of my customers to login before they can access the shop page. After setting the shop page in WooCommerce, the meta options for that page become disable. I know that the meta options for the shop page are in Theme Options, but there is no option to change the default menu.

It is necessary for me to change the default menu, and it is front-facing (for my retail customers), and my shop needs my alternative menu (for my logged-in wholesale customers). Is there a workaround to this?

One idea I had was to create a custom shop page, using the products shortcode built into the theme, but the issue I’m left with is this: how to adjust all of the native WooCommerce links that say “continue shopping” or “return to shop”.”

    So my questions are this:
    1. Is it possible to change the default menu for the shop page?
    2. If I workaround the shop page (not setting it in WooCommerce, and thus preserving meta options and able to change the menu), how can I change the “continue shopping/return to shop” links?

Thanks again! You guys are always such a lifesaver. 🙂

    Hi

You usually need to use a wholesale/membership plugin for this sort of functionality, becuase it won’t just need to be a different menu on the shop page, it will be all the category pages, product pages etc.

    Hey Kyle!

Yes, I realized this yesterday after my post. The problem is, I’m not convinced that any of the membership plugins offer that particular functionality. Do you have any recommendations? If you know of one that would allow me to have the separate menu for each of those pages, please please let me know as I’ve scoured the internet!

Is there any code I could add to functions.php that would pull in my alternate menu?

Thanks again for all of your help!
    Jen

I’m sure there are some, I’m afraid I don’t have time to go looking at them for you but I remember in the past when I eneded something similar. Just look for something that adds options to the menu, for e.g. ‘only show for wholesale users’
