use of categories in pagebuilder

I want to bring up products from particular Collections in certain Portfolios or Pages, in order to do that I found I had to create a product category for each Collection. However, the bad part is that the category also shows in the shop page Categories as well as the Layered Nav for Collections. How can I not show those categories and just use the layered nav? For example, The Night Market is a Collection of products (a brand), we have a portfolio project and a page about The Night Market. Do you have recommendations for how we can make this work better?

this sure is possible, but I’m afraid it’s not built into the theme and would have to be modified especially for you.
