Urgent Request – Theme not saving updates & other database errors

Hi,

We are having issues with pages/ post/ coupons not updating when saved and lost password requests failing due to a “user not found” error when the user does actually exist. We’ve looked at most things now and think it is a theme issue.

We’ve pushed to staging and deactivated all plugins – issues still existed.
Changed to 2014 theme – no issues
Reactivated plugins – no issues

Changed back to Cardinal child – issues reappeared.
Tried Atelier theme – issues remained.

Page (post Id) with example issue: 55201. Try and select “show page title” and it won’t save.

Any help will be really appreciated!

Hi Andrew,

Lost password requests sounds odd. Can you expand on that?

If you ever get the issue with meta not saving, this is usually something to do with the page instance itself – not been able to find a specific cause of this as of yet, but if you check the Custom Fields panel (enable in Screen Options), you can manually set these if the issue is occurring. Obviously this isn’t testable with the 2014 theme as it doesn’t have meta options.
