I would like to upgrade our website from the Cardinal Theme to Joyn. Is there an easy protocol to do this without loosing all of the theme option details?

    Hi

Cardinal & Joyn share the same framework so you should not really have any issues 🙂 You will just need to adjust a few settings on assets that have slightly changed, header footer etc

Follow-up on this, it appears that it’s important to download the settings first from one theme before loading and activating the new theme. We thought it was as simple as just installing and activating Joyn from Cardinal. Nope! It completely crashed the site so beware. Be sure to back things up – it would be nice if Swift could come up with a smoother way to upgrade. LOVE THE THEMES! and swear by them.

    Hi,

Thanks for the feedback, as each theme is slightly different in terms of settings and functionality a degree of manual checking and work on the settings would be needed as standard.

Glad you managed to get the change over complete anyhow.

    – Thanks,
    David.
