I tried to find any instruction on how to properly update a neighborhood installation.
Do you recommend it at all? I read a lot of people having issues when updating.
If I have all my settings stored in the child theme, can I just update the parent theme
and my settings remain? Do I neet to update both?
I think it would be great to have some instruction on how to do this properly.

Hi, you would only update the parent theme.

Remove the old theme via FTP and upload the latest version to the wp-content folder, then activate it from your wp-admin section. All done 🙂
