    After upgrading joyn to 2.16 got this error message:

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_PAAMAYIM_NEKUDOTAYIM in /wp-content/themes/joyn/includes/options/inc/themecheck/class.redux_themecheck.php on line 197

    Commenting line 197 i get the same for line 223.

    Commenting both, site is back on. But what is the cause of the problem?

    Hi,

    Those messages are usually related with the Php version or php settings.
    Can you confirm what is your version?

    What’s the impact of the commented lines in the admin? it’s the redux theme check:

    wp_enqueue_style( $this->slug . '-admin-styles', $redux::$_url . 'inc/themecheck/css/admin.css', array(), $this->version );

    Please upgrade the php version to 5.3+ to resolve the issue. Your hosting provider can help to upgrade the php version.
