    My source code shows two page titles which may cause issues with SEO. Is there a way to remove one?

    Hi,

    Just checked our demo site and we only have 1 title. Can you try to disable all plugins except SwiftFramework to see if it’s caused by other plugin.

    Hey guys, I’m also having this issue.

    Basically, we’re using YOAST SEO plugin for our SEO. For some reason, the plugin is also writing one title tag. So we end up having two meta tilet. I looked a lot online to try to find a solution as this is pretty bad for our SEO. It seems that one solution they recommend is to find the <title> tag in our header.php file. However, the only thing I can find in the header.php file is this:

    <head>

    <?php wp_head(); ?>

    <!–// CLOSE HEAD //–>
    </head>

    Do you know where I could find that? Or would you have another suggestion to remove the theme generated meta title?

    Thanks a lot guys and Merry Christmas!

    Cheers.
    Sam

    Hi,

    Please remove the option for the plugin to do that. If Yoast is not the culprit for adding it, please disable all plugins leaving only Swift Framework and WooCommerce active and re-test.

    You can copy the entire sf_head_meta() function to the functions.php of your child theme and remove the title part to see if it works.

    This function is located at Uplift/swift-framework/core/sf-head.php

    Give it a try.

    Would this be the same thing we need to do to remove the duplicated h1 found in the source codes?

    It seems that there are duplicate or “default” h1 coded into the theme as well, so many of my pages have a h1 of the page name and a custom h1 that I’ve want. How can I remove the default h1?

    Hi @unifusiondm,

    What is your site url?
    In this original topic the additional h1 has generated by YOAST plugin, it wasn’t the theme.
