Hi Guys
Is it possible to have certain posts only posted on certain pages?
I want to have a News& Events page and a Blog Page. I want to use the Blog Template format for both of them. Is it possible?May 13, 2014 at 7:59 am #74405Hi
Set 2 parent categories, one ‘News & Events’ and the other ‘Blog’ and then select the category you want to use on the desired page

In the blog, I have categories like Cloud Tech, Big Data etc for various posts. Also I would like to post a link to a newspaper post that I would like to have in my News & Events page.
May 13, 2014 at 9:10 am #74456In the wordpress admin go to Posts > Categories, here you can edit your categories and assign them to a parent category

It’s because you haven’t set either one of the following:
1. Featured Image
2. ThumbnailYou have only set the detail media display. To make things easier in future let me explain the differences:
Featured Image – This is the best thing to set for your image as it is used for the thumbnail and detail media display
Detail Media – This will overwrite the featured image for the detail media (if using same image as featured image, you can leave this blank)
Thumbnail – this will overwrite the featured image for the thumbnail (if using same image as featured image, you can leave this blank)
Hope this helps

May 14, 2014 at 10:03 am #74846Hi Kyle
Thanks for that. Could you help me in figuring this out?
I did what you suggested regarding the Categories for posts.
Now I have two parent categories : News & Events and Blog. Now in my Blog page, It is still showing the posts from the News & Events Category. I dont want that to happen.
Is there some solution for this?May 14, 2014 at 12:06 pm #74905The post navigation is global, it has not been coded to only use the category posts. If you want to remove it with css, add:
.post-pagination-wrap.curved-bar-styling { display: none; }

Also how is this related Articles functionality happening?May 14, 2014 at 12:28 pm #74917Meant that it is still not working.
May 14, 2014 at 12:32 pm #74920So when you paste the code into your custom css the bar navigation is still showing? The related articles uses posts from the same category
