    Hi,

    I wanted to change the language of the theme to german, but it does not seem to work.

    My WP is set to German as seen in the wpconfig
    define ('WPLANG', 'de_DE');

    I also updated the translations in the provided de_DE.po files and uploaded the .po as well as the .mo

    Do I need to make further changes to the de_DE.po & .mo files, that were provided with the theme?

    Do I have to translate anything else (e.g. WooCommerce) and if yes, where can I find the corresponding .po file?

    Thanks,
    Hartmut

    Hi,

    Did you generated the .mo files after translating the .po files?

    Yes,

    First I set my WPLANG on german, then I opened the de_DE.po file in the atelier/languages folder with Poedit, changed some translations and generated the .mo file. I uploaded the files in the same folder.

    Now some text is translated and other text is not. For example the “wishlist is empty” text is translated, but the “cart is empty” text remains in english (I changed both in the .po)

    Do I have to change something else to activate the full translation?

    No, those are different translation files. You need to translate Woocommerce and also Wishlist plugin and all plugins you use that add any text to the site.
