    Goodday Swift Ideas

First of all thank you for creating this beautiful theme! I am quite a noob in the whole webdesign but with this theme I can do so much myself it is great!  I did run into 3 problems that I can’t seem to solve. I googled every keyword I could come up with, regarding this issues, but did not find a solution yet. Hopefully you can help me out.

    1. I want to change the banners ‘Sale!’ and ‘Sold out’ into the Dutch words: ‘Uitverkoop!’ and ‘Verkocht’. I tried everything. I translated the .po files. Updated the .mo files. Added code to the function.php. Manualy changed it in the different .php files. Installed WooCommerce Multilingual. I even installed an extra plugin in the hopes of changing the banners. Now the banner Sale! changes into the dutch translation ‘Uitverkoop!’  but only when I hoover over the product. And when I hoover over the ‘Sold out’ product it changes into an different banner at the left side with a completly different layout (probably because of the extra plugin I installed).

How can I translate the banners completly into dutch. (Without hoovering and without the banner of the other plugin?)

    2. On the left side menu (Underneath the link ‘Onze artikelen’ I would like to have a dropout menu. With the pages ‘Uitverkoop’ (‘Sale’ in Dutch) and Verkocht (‘Sold out’ in Dutch) neathly stacked underneath ‘Onze Artikelen (‘Our products’ in Dutch).  Normally this is something I do in wordpress in the menu tab. Just dragging and placing the pages underneath the main category. But this doesnt seem to work.

Is there a way I can make a dropout menu?

    3. On the left side there is this great feature. The cart and wishlist is beautifly hiddin under an icon. When I hoover over this icon, the cart or wishlist becomes visible. But the text doesn’t translate in Dutch. It says ‘View my cart’ or ‘View my wishlist’. When it is empty it says ‘Your cart is empty’ or ‘Your wishlist is empty’. I want to change ‘View my cart’ into ‘Bekijk mijn winkelmandje’.

‘View my wishlist’ into ‘Bekijk mijn verlanglijst’. ‘Your cart is empty’ into ‘Je winkelmandje is leeg’. And ‘Your wishlist is empty’ into ‘Je verlanglijst is leeg’.

Again I added code to the function.php. Translated all .po files. Updated the .mo files. Changed it manualy in different .php files. Installed WooCommerce Multilingual. I searched if there where any images (would explain why it will not translate). But nothing worked.

Is there a way to translate the texts of my cart and wishlist in the left sidebar?

I hope you can help me out with these issues! And thanks again for making such a great theme! It is exactly what I searched for!

    Greetings Eline

    Hi there,

1/3) These are included in the translation files – try using a plugin such as Codestyling Localisation, rather than manually changing in the php files. Changes in the plugin will keep the changes with updates.

    2) Is this in a sidebar? There is the WordPress Menu widget, but that doesn’t have dropdowns as far as I’m aware – there may be a 3rd party plugin which offers this functionality in a widget.

    3) See above. If you have translated the cart and still seeing english, make sure you add something to the cart for it to update.

    Hope that helps.

    Hi Ed

Tnx for your quick response. I tried that already and it didnt work. I changed everyting everywhere and the english still poptup even after adding something to the cart. In the end I ended up with a very helpful plugin called Loco Translate. Someone at an forum advised this to me and it worked like a charm!

The dropout menu I added through a different plugin.

    Tnx anyway!

    Greeting Eline
