Can I clarify what you are asking:

Are you wanting to override core functions/templates within the parent theme via the use of a child theme?

Or

Are you asking how to update the parent theme files to the new files Ed has supplied you with?

I’m asking to override core functions within the parent theme via the use of a child theme?
The core files from include/swift-framework folder in parent theme. I want to make changes to it from child folder. Copy paste to child theme seems not working.

Hi @sammayell

If it’s a file that contains functions, then you will need to copy the function down to the child theme and overwrite. The only files within the /swift-framework folder than can be directly overridden by copying the files down are the files within /layout.
