Hello, I’m trying to customise my site and have run into a few problems.
Header:
1. can you see how the subscribe dropdown is on their left and right. I just want it to show on the right – please advise?
2. i can’t seem to see an option in ALL the header layouts where my phone number and email can be top right. I would like to display my phone number and email address quite large in that right hand white space, under the social icons. – please advise?Social links issues
1. Where can I add this https://developers.pinterest.com/tools/widget-builder/ I’ve been trying to put in on every page but it doesn’t work. I just want all images to be pin-ableGeneral
1. I’m getting really poor SEO ratings and it’s partly because there are no H2 tags where can I find the settings for these?Portfolio
1. I’d like the scrolling options on all my portfolio pages to be auto play please advise for example this is the slider used http://www.onelinestudio.co.uk/?portfolio=oneline-fair-tradeThanks for your time and advice.
HelenOctober 6, 2015 at 11:59 am #2187721)
To hide the left menu please use this CSS:
.tb-left nav.std-menu.top-menu { display: none; }
2)
This would not be possible without modify the theme, to do this you need a web developer. The file and function you need to edit is
/includes/sf-header.php
The function is calledsf_header
3)
I would suggest you use a freely available plugin specifically for this: https://wordpress.org/plugins/search.php?q=pinterest
4)
Where would you want to place h2 tags? You need to modify the core theme files for this.
5)
This is not possible with the standard slider, you could do this with Revolution Slider.
Thanks,
David.October 6, 2015 at 12:18 pm #218783Hi David,
thanks so much for your help with this. OK so
1. Sorted thank you!
2. I may have found a way around this see the site left hand side subscribe dropdown. I’ve been trying for 2 hours to work out using inspect element which bit of code it is that will allow me to simply change the word ‘subscribe’ to ‘Get in touch’ and make it about 16px in font height – I can’t figure it out…well I can in chrome but then what I paste into custom CSS doesn’t work… can you help?
3. OK will take a look at this now
4. OK I think I’ve sorted this I’m just trying to get my SEO rankings better by using H2 I think rather than me mess the entire sites typography up I’ll use them in the blog posts.
5. Ok thanks that’s a real shame – would you have any advice for the simplest/quickest way to convert all these sliders to revolution sliders or would I basically have to start all over again sizing and uploading the images.
Thanks again
HelenOctober 6, 2015 at 12:22 pm #218784Just a heads up, I was also checking the topic and changed the Top bar from Links/Text to Text/Text. This ways isn’t necessary css to turn the left subscribe off.

October 6, 2015 at 12:27 pm #218786No problem,
2) Please activate your child theme and in the file
functions.php
you will need to add this this: http://pastie.org/private/j30dhtfgwziodcuylfyla. This code will overwrite the parent theme function to alter the link text.5) No easy way as such, you would not need to resize the images though. Could you test with one first?
– David.
October 6, 2015 at 12:28 pm #2187892) Cont… to change the font size for the text, please add this CSS:
nav.std-menu .menu > li:first-child > a { font-size: 16px; }
– David.

This scares me!! I am not a developer I’m a designer – I just designed the site and can make changes in the CMS. Can you talk me through this step by step a bit more OR also i don’t know if you guys have an hourly rate but maybe I could leave this one in your capable hands…
I’m just worried if I activate a child theme that it will damage other parts of the site so just let me know the implications…
3. Pinterest button. It’s a bit annoying as all the plugins work ok but they overide your lovely icon on this type of page http://www.onelinestudio.co.uk/?portfolio=moetal
The problem I’m having with this share that’s part of the them is I can’t work out how to change the setting so it allows the user to pick which image they pin. As you can see at the moment it’s selecting some of the themes default images…October 6, 2015 at 1:10 pm #218805Back to issue 2: It’s not working now that I’ve refreshed the screen. I don’t understand at all please can you help.
This is the code but it’s not showing the call or email options any more in firefox or chrome on a restart – grrrr!

October 6, 2015 at 1:17 pm #218809Hi Rul, would that not remove the social media links though. Have a look in firefox the left menu is still showing even though I’ve added the custom CSS to display none…
October 6, 2015 at 2:24 pm #218834Hi,
I added one custom css class in that button asset called lets-talk so I can use some css to add a margin in mobile resolution
https://www.dropbox.com/s/mxnbawsd2mush4h/Screenshot%202015-10-06%2014.26.31.png?dl=0Add the code below to your custom css option
@media only screen and (max-width: 767px){ .lets-talk { margin-top: 50px!important; } }
It’s only cache in Firefox, try to clear it and check again.

Probably easier if I recap the issues here. I’ve spoken to support but they say you don’t offer premium support so if we can get this resolved via the forum that would be appreciated.
1. Subscribe Form
A: Please talk me through the steps to change the word ‘Subscribe’ to ‘Get in touch’ see image http://www.onelinestudio.co.uk/web/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/Screen-Shot-2015-10-06-at-14.29.39.png
– it looks easy enough in Chrome but not sure what you mean about child theme activation etc…B: Please advise how to get it to stop cutting off the email in see image http://www.onelinestudio.co.uk/web/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/Screen-Shot-2015-10-06-at-14.27.39.png
2. Mobile responsive issue
A: Please see image http://www.onelinestudio.co.uk/web/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/Screen-Shot-2015-10-06-at-13.12.32.png
– I’ve added spacers and your custom code Rui but still no joy – this seems to happen a lot with these them I only moved the button up a section! Is it perhaps space that needs adding to the testimonials…3. Pinterest button. http://www.onelinestudio.co.uk/?portfolio=moetal
I just want to be able to do Pin buttons on all my images but the default button does this http://www.onelinestudio.co.uk/web/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/Screen-Shot-2015-10-06-at-14.36.57.pngHow can I get it to offer users a way to pin MY images rather than the default theme images?
Getting there – thank you!
October 7, 2015 at 10:50 am #2190541 a) You have done this already. See post: #218786.
1 b) It is displaying perfectly for me, is this resolved. If not, what device or browser are you viewing this on?
2) As above, It is displaying perfectly for me, is this resolved. If not, what device or browser are you viewing this on?
3) Please see my post: #218772 I would suggest you use a freely available plugin specifically for this: https://wordpress.org/plugins/search.php?q=pinterest
– David.
October 7, 2015 at 11:07 am #219065Thank you David…
1a: I found a plug in called code snippet which allows me to edit the function.php without actually going into it, hopefully this will work OK in the future, as I got lost at the bit where you said activate child theme.
2a: The issue is happening on a macbook pro 15″ firefox browser – please advise?
3: The problem with installing a 3rd party Pinterest button (I’ve tried 3 of these options from your link) is that it overrides the Pinterest share button that’s built into the theme and therefore looks out of place. If you look at the screen shot http://www.onelinestudio.co.uk/web/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/Screen-Shot-2015-10-06-at-14.36.57.png
You can see that the built in Pin sharing button uses an image from the theme NOT one of the images actually on the pages content — how can I resolve?Many thanks
HelenOctober 8, 2015 at 10:16 am #219354Hi, no problem.
2a) Ah FF, now I see it! Please add this CSS:
#mc_embed_signup form { padding: 10px 0px 10px 10px!important; }
3) How strange, does that happen only when a 3rd party plugin is active?
Cheers,
David. -
