Great theme! We have a problem with our installation that appeared during development or an update; I didn’t notice it immediately. We were under deadline and I’m only able to now address it. Here are the details:

    website: http://www.effectivenonprofits.com

    1. The custom coding under the options has no editable field (see attached screenshot)

    2. The dropdown or editable field to change fonts has also disappeared (see attached screenshot). And if I change any font options like font size, it doesn’t take effect.

    3. As a temporary fix, I’ve added all my custom coding to the end of style.css, but of course every time we update the theme, it will present problems as I have to re-add the custom code back in.

What can I do to fix this? Please let me know if you need anymore info. Thanks!

    Hi,

There looks to be a few JS errors, have you changed any core theme files? Or did the update process get interrupted?

    Thanks.

I did not change any JS files — that’s outside my field of expertise. My guess is an update got interrupted, which sounds likely as my internet connection can be unpredictable. What can be done to fix it? Is it fixable?

I’ve been updating the theme, and I recall uploading via FTP the whole theme, and that didn’t do anything. I have the custom code saved locally, so even if style.css gets replaced, it’s okay.

    Thanks!

If possible, I would try FTP uploading the theme folder again overwriting what you have.

    Thanks.

    Hi,
Yes of course, these files are cause to issue.
    Thanks

Okay, our hosting recommends reinstalling the theme. Is this something you would recommend?

Also, if we do this, is there a way to do that without losing the settings? For example, are the settings saved in a file I can copy and repaste into the new installation?

Also, how do I delete the theme and do a clean installation without using FTP, since it’s still a mystery why those files can’t be uploaded via FTP.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

As long as you do not delete the database, the theme settings should be saved. You can import/export the theme options as a precaution though.

Delete the theme folder via FTP. Install the new files via the WP Dashboard.

    Thanks.
