    Hello,

I recently purchased the plugin “Woocommerce Additional Variation Images” so that I could add more than just one image to each of my variable products’ gallery. I followed all of the directions in the plugin’s documentation and it still did not work. I emailed Woothemes customer support and they told me the following:

“So this plugin was designed to work with themes that follow standard coding practices of WooCommerce. When themes don’t follow that practice, incompatibility issues can appear. To know if that is the case, can you please first test by switching to 2012 TwentyTwelve theme and see if it works?”

I did as he suggested and switched my theme to the default WP “Twenty Fourteen”. The plugin then worked. So how can we resolve this apparent error within Dante’s code that is preventing it from working with some official Woocommerce plugins? This plugin provides our store with an ESSENTIAL feature. I have provided the URL and login details to my staging site so you can test the issue yourselves. Currently the “twenty fourteen” theme is active, and I have setup the following product for you to test the issue on:

I look forward to your response!

    Hi @thepipeguys

Could you please attach the plugin zip here? Will be easier for me to investigate and fix locally.

    Thanks,

    – Ed

Ok, so I’ve spent a good hour trying to figure this out – and I’ve got it working to a point. However, the plugin definitely isn’t built to be used with a slider/thumb slider – so the best I can do is advise you to remove the functionality if you want the product variations with multiple images.

    Let me know.

    Ed,

How do I remove that functionality? Do I have to edit the theme code or is there an option in the backend? Finally, after I remove the functionality, will the plugin work as is or did you edit its files? Thanks very much for your help on this!

    Simply remove /woocommerce/single-product/product-image.php and /woocommerce/single-product/product-thumbnails.php

It may need some styling tweaks, but give me a shout when you’ve done that and I can assist.
