    Ran into a rather odd issue after upgrading my theme to 2.8 this morning. There is now a single “c” underneath the footer area and I can’t tell where it is being pulled in from. I’m using a child theme and this issue does not appear with any other theme active. I have also tried disabling all plugins, so I know this is not the issue.

    Any thoughts?

    I have down-graded back to 2.75 and it seems it wasn’t related to 2.8. But I still cannot find where this random “c” might be. Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi,

    Try to switch the theme to its parent theme, if that works means, I think somewhere you type a character “c” in any of the files in the child theme apparently. So try try to find the file and delete the “c”. Maybe check in footer.php/header.php first.

    Checked and it is still present in the parent theme. I’ve also checked header.php and footer.php and can’t locate it in either one of those. Would appreciate any help in finding which file it may be in.

    I have the same issue, how did you resolve this. mine has the code “UA-61994529-1” under my footer.
