text box alignment, swift slider glitch, mega menu no show

Hi,

My site went live a couple of days ago. Mostly looks and works fine, but some things are off:

1. The text boxes on the menu and reservations page should be positioned on the same horizontal level, so that the headings of two text boxes next to each other are on the same horizontal plain. I hope you get what I mean. This was the case off-line, but after uploading the site, it’s become a bit mountainous. Nothing’s changed on the back end, though. I’m working/watching on a (pretty sluggish) macbook pro 13inch.

2. I’ve used a post types reorder plugin for the swift slider on the home page. It works, but on my iphone, and sometimes on the mac, loading the page takes a while, and then the page opens on slide 2 (the boat). Also, it sometimes loads 3/4 of slide 2, and 1/4 of slide 1. I think it has to do with resizing the screen, as this issue doesn’t persist after reloading the screen. The photo’s are taken with iphone 5.

3. On google chrome, the mega-menu button in the header doesn’t show on my mac.

4. On an older macbook, using safari, the mega-menu opens briefly after clicking on it, then disappears.

Would be great if you could help me with some of these issues.

Congrats on launching the site.

1) Check that you have vertical centering turned off on the row – this feature centers each of the columns vertically within the row.

2) This is likely to do with the page size – http://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/#!/DLyLW/http://www.rederijhavana.nl/ . 4.9Mb is probably double what you should have it as. This image alone is 3Mb – http://www.rederijhavana.nl/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/P1060959.jpg

Optimise that and you should enjoy better speed and minimise loading issues.

3) I don’t see this icon on any browser? can you confirm where it is?

4) I don’t see any mega menu set?

1. Brilliant. Almost all is good again, thanks a bunch!

2. I’ve scaled down the pics to 1600 X whatever, is that ok? It seems to do the trick for the page loading.

3/4 The mega-menu, which represents all that is good and beautiful, worked off-line, even though it wasn’t enabled in menu options. Stopped working after latest cardinal update. I’ve enabled the option in menu settings, per your instructions, but it still seems broken. Does work on mobile though…
