Text and arrow (portfolio carousel) also white opacity shape

Hello,

at my website, http://buffetize.com/ , in the landing page i have place the portfolio carousel (four portfolio items). but as you can see the name of the portfolio item it is behind the arrows.

2 questions:

– how to place the text above the circle with arrow or under the black circle with the arrow ( when i place the mouse at the portfolio item.)
– and also how to remove the white opacity shape that comes with the arrow. (when i hover the portfolio item). is this a picture and i can remove it using photoshop? or something else and i can hide it with a css code or something?

figcaption .thumb-info h4 {
margin-top: -38px!important;
}

and

figure.animated-overlay figcaption {
background-image: none!important;
}
