testimonial cite subtext in testimonial slider

Hi,

1) What can I do to show testimonial cite subtext in testimonial slider? This is to appear on the line after testimonial cite

2) Is there any way to change the timer that rotates the testimonials in testimonial slider?

3) Please see question in attached image.

1) You just need to set the cite in the testimonials meta option (on each testimonial) https://www.dropbox.com/s/af7lor8g9cerhfn/Screenshot%202013-11-29%2022.17.38.png

2) You’d need to edit /js/functions.js line 1033:

slideshowSpeed: 6000,

I have already entered a value in cite subtext in the testimonials meta option.

But it still does not show up in testimonial slider. The slider only shows the testimonial text and testimonial cite but not cite subtext.

How can we change slide time for the testimonials without losing our changes when we update to the next theme version? And is there a way to set a custom timer for separate sliders?

I noticed that the cite text and subtext in testimonial slider are still shown on the same line.

Hi,

We were looking at changing the speed of the slider too but couldn’t find slideshowSpeed on that line. We found instances of it but wanted to make sure we were editing the right part. Also, would we be changing ‘sliderslidespeed’ to 6000 (or whatever value)?

This is a very old thread. This is now set within: Theme Options => Slider Options => Slideshow Speed (ms).
