Tabs – can you add support for "WooCommerce Custom Product Tabs Lite"?

Hello – the limitation for customizing woocommerce tabs was extended with the following plugin …

… this plugin has worked with every theme I have added it to except yours. Is there any chance you might be able to add support for this?

Hi,

can you by any chance contact the plugin developers about this problem?
There is a massive amount of plugins out there on the market. Each and every one is created by a different developer who uses their own techniques and code.
Because of this, we cannot guarantee that everyone of them will work with our theme. When an issue arises, we will certainly try to do what we can to fix it though. The best thing to do first is to report the issue to the plugin developer because they know their own code better than we do. Let us know what the plugin developer reports back and we will see what can be done!

I have a similar request on an another plugin. The plugin works fine on the WP default themes which adds a Custom tab on the product page. However, the custom tab doesn’t show in the Neighbourhood theme. I contacted the plug-in developer and here is his response:

“That’s the woocommerce_product_tabs filter. Some themes override the templates and fail to include the pre-existing WooCommerce hooks (it would be up to the theme owner to update their theme)”

So, I am not sure who and how to fix this issue.

Hey, I’m afraid the code that interferes with it seems to be woocommerce, so we cannot influence that 🙁

Thanks Melanie for your reply. Why then do you suppose that this plugin works with woocommerce on a base WP theme and not yours (that is if the interference is woocommerce as you say)? What did you think of the comment from the plugin developer … “That’s the woocommerce_product_tabs filter. Completely agree with @kingrobb comment.

Please provide some technical explanation on the “interference”. You guys have developed your theme(s) on in-house developed framework which is not easy to comprehend by other developer so you guys are in the best position to answer and resolve this issue.

We provided an alternative display method for the tabs in the use of an accordion, which we viewed as a better solution. We’ll investigate if we can change our integration to work with the plugin.

BTW, I am not planning to use the Custom Product Tabs Lite plugin. I am having the same issue with another plugin, WooCommerce Product Vendors. If you can provide some reference in your swift framework or some sort of hook information on to the accordion interface, I can ask the plugin developer to look into.

What does the Product Vendors plugin do exactly? Hopefully I can help with that.

It’s a multi-vendor woocommerce plugin which allow individual sellers to list and sell their items. The issue I am having is that the theme is not showing the “Seller Info” tab on the product page, for e.g. http://wc.mgates.me/product/kitchen-craft-home-made-glass-terrine-jars/
