When I go to edit posts and pages now, it always opens on the Classic Editor and when switching back to the Swift Framework editor sometimes it can crash the browser.

Any idea why? This is since the most recent update and Ive not installed any new plugins or widgets either. Simply updated the theme and boom.

    Hi Rui,

Sorry for the slow reply, it still does this.

To recreate it (and it doesn’t happen all the time) but I essentially:

    1) Log In
    2) Browse to the “All Posts” page
    3) Open all the posts in new tabs
    4) Go to first new tab
    5) Post is in classic mode and switching to Builder can sometimes cause it to crash

    Hope this helps

    R

    Hi

I’m afraid we can’t control the default editor. For some people it loads the swift page builder by default, for others it loads the classic editor. We still haven’t solved what causes that, but we will get back to you when we do

    Hi Kyle,

Ok, but should it be random? I get that for some it opens in Classic, and others it might be Swift. But its totally random when it happens?

    Thanks,
    Rob

I think it’s something to do with whatever editor you previously used
