hi,
I have attempted to enter this issue with the forums 3 times in the past three days. Two weeks ago, everything was working fine. I made a backup of my site, mysql db and the html files. I made some changes, didn’t like them and restored the backup.
Initially, i had the white screen of death. Then, I disabled the plugins, and turned them on, one-by-one. Everything seems to be working correctly, in that the swift page builder short codes are doing what they are supposed to do on my pages, but I don’t have the swift builder WYSIWYG controls on the pages admin interface.
No matter how I disable and re-enable plugins, I can’t get the WYSiWYG controls to come back. Now, understand that the pages render correctly. The short codes that already exist on the pages do everything correctly. The issue is that th WYSIWYG controls are missing.
I need some help fixing whatever is broken. I’m not sure if this is a Dante or WordPress problem.
Help is appreciated.
thanks,

Please check your screen options when adding/editing a page, you might have the page builder turned off

December 12, 2014 at 3:47 am #135261no matter whether I check on or off the swift page builder option, the wysiwyg interface does not return. Instead, a separate interface appears that is not integrated with the page builder, and it holds with a “Loading, please wait” cursor. I have attached an image of the interface and what I see.
Perhaps, the 4.0 WP upgrade has altered the way that page builder works. Prior to 4.0, the swift builder wysiwyg was integrated into the page builder dialog. Now, there are two separate dialog sections: the page interface and a swift builder interface that is not operable.

You have an error in the javascript console, but can’t figure out exactly what it is. Maybe the tinymce but tested with the same WordPress version in my Dante site and it doesn’t happen.
Do you have any customizations? Realized that you are not using the last version. Can you update?

December 16, 2014 at 12:10 am #135870I will update what you want me to update. I am relatively new with WP. I had a front-end dev do the layout. I’m pretty sure he only did css customization.
Let me know what you want for me to update, and I will do it. At this point, this is the best restore that I can seem to find, so I’m not against changing it, if you have a good idea of what might be causing it.
On restore the only thing that hicuped was the restore of one of the plugins, Woo catalog visibility. I re-installed from a fresh download and the problem went away.
Now, I am only left with this Wysiwyg issue.
December 16, 2014 at 12:15 am #135871I updated everything that can be updated, Themes: Dante, 2014, 2013, 2012. All plugins. Woo commerce with the data upgrade.
Still the same problem.
December 16, 2014 at 10:48 pm #136090Hi,
If those updates didn’t solved, probably was something that went wrong in the WordPress update. Like I told I tested in WordPress 4.0 and it worked fine and we no other similar situation reported.
Try to update the WordPress files or make a brand new installation.
Let us know.-Rui
