Supersearch Questions

Hi there,

I was wondering whether it is possible to use the Super Search Page Builder asset as a search-bar to search, filter and display custom post types (e.g. Our projects). I was thinking of getting a specific plugin for this job but if it can be done with super search I would give it a try.

What I want to do is have a horizontal search-bar within the page with a search field and 3 drop down filter options so a user can search for a project by name or other keyword or filter it by location, sector or service category.

A) Is this possible with super search?

B) If so does Woocommerce need to be enabled too for it to work?

Unfortunately that’s not possible. The supersearch functionality is specific to woocommerce, to get this to work for other post types you would have to get a developer to help you write some custom code

Hey, I thought so but I have found a plugin that does the job perfectly so I will resort to it. BTW, what I want to achieve could be done awesomely with the Directory functionality too if it allowed to add more fields. Given that it can also display results on the map with markers it would be a great tool to search, filter and sort “property projects” based on location, service type, sector and “search keyword”.
