Sub-Menu Floating

I have just added a sub-menu but it is ‘floating’ underneath the main menu and I can’t fix it. Help!

I have another question – how can i get rid of the white space under the ribbon on this page – it is inserted as an image but I only want it to be the height of the image. See photo!

I’ve been battling with this for a while and still see it – the white bit under the ribbon is part of the same section but I want to remove it and just have that section the same height as the ribbon image – can you look again?
