Sub-Menu // disable animation effect

Hi,

I would like to disable the fade-in/out animations (transitions) on mouse-over/out for the Sub-Menu cointainer. I already managed it for the Main-Menu-items using this CSS:

nav#main-navigation .menu > li > a {transition:none; -moz-transition:none; -webkit-transition:none; -o-transition:none;}

thanks 4 the reply – I mean the whole sub-menu-container below the top-menu-item “Test“. Please see attached image. I would like to remove the fade-in/out effect completely and no time delay.

You can do it like this so all anchor tags inside the main-navigation have no transitions.

nav#main-navigation .menu > li a {transition:none; -moz-transition:none; -webkit-transition:none; -o-transition:none;}

it works for the sub-menu items itself – but not for the whole sub-menu container – it still fades in and out when I hover “Test” (see image above).

Hi,

I just spent 10 mins going through the css file and the sub menu container transition is not in the css files . Its probably done by the Jquery script so not much can be done about it.

Hi,

meanwhile I managed to deactivate the transistion effect (within css!) but there is still a time delay between mouse over and the moment the sub-container appears/disappears. As I understand css and jQuery, the individual HTML elements must be addressed using classes and/or IDs. So there should be a way to deactivate the transitions and time delays for the whole sub-menu container. Could you please take a look at your source code again!?

I guess it has something to do with:

ul.sub-menu.sub
