    Hi,

Since I updated my theme and swift framework this morning, I’ve been experiencing odd behavior in the shopping cart on a site that I am building.

For regular products, despite the number of products that I choose on a product page, it only enters one item into the shopping cart. This does not happen with variable products. (The correct number of items is entered.)

On the shopping cart page, I can modify quantities, but cannot update the cart. The ‘update cart’ button is disabled. When you hover on it, a red crossed out circle appears.

Has anyone else had a similar problem?

David, this is on a dev server I’ve set up on my personal computer, so I don’t have a way to give you access. I can say that I have switched themes to 2016 and everything works as it should, however. I see that there’s at least one other cart support request out there now, so I figure I must not be alone. It seems like the issue is with the quantity box. Changes in it do not seem to be recognized.

It’s hard to advise without viewing a site, please can you disable all plugins leaving only Swift Framework and WooCommerce active and re-test?

Could you list the steps to replicate this? Is this for a cart page only or when adding a single product with a quantity to the bag?

    Thanks.

    Hi David,

I’ve deactivated all plugins except for the Swift Framework and Woocommerce and am still having the same problems.

    Here’s what happens:

Navigate to a regular product page. Choose a quantity. Add to cart (bag). No matter what happens, only ONE item is added to cart (bag).

View Cart. On cart page, attempt to change the number of items. The item number will change, but you CANNOT UPDATE the cart to reflect the new quantity. Update cart button is BLOCKED and will not function. Cart totals reflect the original quantity, not the new one.

With variable products, you can choose several items on a product page and the cart (bag) will reflect the correct number. But once again, if you view the cart page, you cannot modify the number of items selected because the update cart button is blocked.

You may with to compare notes with Rui, who is working with @crrobertson2 on exactly the same issue.

BTW, if I switch to another theme, like Storefront or 2016, the cart works properly. That’s why I think this has something to do with the theme update. I have a different live site using Atelier that I did not update and I do not have these issues.

    Thanks,
    Ken

    Hi Ken,

Yes I can also replicate this, I have reported this back to the team for fix. We are currently working on this and it will be out asap.

Thank you David. The theme update did indeed correct this problem.

    Support,

Just reiterating this issue. We are:

    1. Having issues with the cart add/remove in the cart page.
    2. We had one user comment that the initial value in the cart product ‘add to cart’ section added 3 when they went to cart and checkout. They were able to subtract/remove 2, but still had a total of 2 in the cart.

I could not reproduce the 2nd, but the add/remove is definitely and issue (worked on OS mobile, not in desktop chrome – all I’ve tested so far).
