    Hi there,
We are still unable to start working on our site after many issues. We have been unable to load the content from the demos at all (it always just stays at 0% and doesn’t load), while the home page keeps on displaying this ‘fatal error’.

From what I can understand, it mentions something related to memory, except the problem is that everything is completely empty and wiped clean of any content, so not sure what is going on here.

Can you please help us to load this demo (we’d like to use Convoy) and to start to put our own content on?

    Thanks,
    Emily

    Please open your wp-config.php file and add this: define('WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '256M');

Thank you for the info, but I don’t know what a wp-config.php file is or how to open it.

Is there a certain place I can find it on the wordpress sidebar menu? Also, does it matter where this text is inserted?

    Thanks,
    Emily

    Hi,

The wp-config.php it’s located in the root of your website.
You can edit it with FTP or in the fileeditor of your hosting account. It’s not accessible in the WordPress admin

You can place that line anywhere inside the file.

    some documentation about it.

    Hi,

Thanks for the instructions, we managed to successfully insert this bit of text inside of the wp-config.php so finally the ‘fatal error’ is gone.

However, now the demo content doesn’t want to load and is continually stuck loading at either 20%-30% and never goes further. After waiting about half an hour, and having tried repeating the import about 10 times, nothing changes. Is there still something more to do in order to load the demo?

    Thanks,
    Emily

    Hi Emily,

I see the demo content has been imported, is this from you doing it via the plugin?

If I run it now, I may overwrite what you have done. Please let me know.

    Hi,

Something is wrong with your hosting server, it seems to slow and the major part of the import process timeout and it’s difficult to reach the 100% this way.

I manage to import the major part of the images, and created new menu with 3 items.

Can you check with your hosting if there anything that shows up in the error.log files?

You can ask them why the server response is so slow that it’s getting difficult to import the demo content of the theme. And if there is any error on the error log files.

Usually this things are related to the hosting performance, unfortunately some GoDaddy hosting plans aren’t fast enough.

    Hi,
I was working with the GoDaddy support for a while and it looks like we finally fixed it. It was something about how memory is attributed, and had certain limitations in the default settings that we had to override. So finally looks like it’s solved 🙂

    Thanks.
