Sticky Header covered by wordpress admin bar

Hi,

We have enabled the sticky header on our site and it seems to be working – however you can only just see it responding as almost all the menu – along with its functionality is hidden by the wordpress admin bar (see screen shot).

Is there any way to remedy this in the theme – or do we have to change the wordpress functions.php file?

Hide Admin Bar

That won’t appear to your visitors since they aren’t logged in.

Thanks for your replies – I continue to be blown away by how good the support is on here!

I have used the CSS option for now (thanks David) and it works like a charm,

However ultimately I just wanted to check – when the site goes live and a user creates an account on the site – will they be able to see the wordpress admin bar (even if it doesn’t let them access the backend..?)

If so – is there a plugin that can selectively hide the admin bar for our customers online accounts – but keep it for the admin users (Rui – your plugin looks good – but doesnt seem to offer this kind of functionality…)?

Hey,

If a user has an account and is logged in they would see the admin bar by default.

Third party plugins would handle the show/hide functionality of the admin, depending on the user role. Example: https://wordpress.org/plugins/global-admin-bar-hide-or-remove/
