    Hi there!

When I updated from 1.62 to newest (2.2) Cardinal all my standard sliders disappeared from portfolio pages. They only show white screen, not the images.

Images show properly in the backend. I tried to insert the images again in the backend but it didn’t help. Please help soon!

This is 100% fixed in 2.30 – test locally. Make sure you clear your browser cache. If you disable the performance option in Theme Options, does it work then?

    Hi there,

I disabled “load pre-minified scripts” and now sliders are working again.

How much performance boost does minification actually bring? I don’t notice much increase in load times.

    Hey,

The minification is a good way to boost the Google page speed score: https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/

If you can minify as many assets (CSS/JS) as possible it will get you a higher score and contribute to a faster page speed and hopefully help boost your site in the eyes of Google, it’s also simply good practice.

You can test your speed for minified VS non-minified using this tool: http://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/.

    Cheers,
    David.
