I purchased an SSL cert. Installed it on my Cpanel.
The green padlock shows up on the WP admin panel but not the frontend.

The 2 year old (unupdated) SSL plugin is installed and activated.
The WP address settings are set to “https”

    What’s missing?

    Thanks.

    Hi Kyle,

Where do you get the idea that this is not theme related?

Here is how I know that it is theme related:
I switched my theme to Twenty Fifteen and the green padlock shows up with no issues.
    Screenshot attached.
I switched back to Neighborhood and the padlock is gone.

    Hi,

Because you have used the demo imported the background resources are being pulled in from the the demo URLs:

    1) http://neighborhood.swiftideas.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/ff_rp_bkg2.png

    2) http://neighborhood.swiftideas.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/nhood_impact_bkg.png

Save those images locally to your PC, then re-upload them and select them in their respective Theme Options and then save the theme options.

    Thanks.

    Hi David,

Thanks for the reply. What you wrote is indeed the problem but it’s just the tip of the iceberg. As I started digging deep into the bg image settings I see that the themes default config that came with the demo references images from your servers at each instance. All the images, including the two you listed above do actually exist in my media library under my domain but the settings still point to your servers. Some of these settings reference styles that are not yet used by me on this particular page but they would be used if I were to add more elements.
So now I have to go to every single setting page and replace bg images which starts defeating the purpose of purchasing a theme and loading demo content so that I can have a functional website speedily.

Can you please update your demo uploader so that other people don’t run into the same problem? This is a online shop theme and all online shops now use SSL which means your customers should inevitably need to deal with this if they’ve done according to your recommended setup.

@smete135 thanks for the feedback, I’ll chat with the team and see if this is something that can be done.

    Thanks,
    David.

For those users who have the same problem as I did, here’s how to solve it until the demo uploader is fixed:
    1. Go to Theme Options > Background Options
    2. Right click the image that’s next to Upload BG image
    3. Open image in a new tab so that you can see the file name
    4. Remove image
    5. Upload
    6. Find the image from your media library. It is there so no need to re-upload it.
    7. Go to Theme Options > Asset Background Options
    8. Repeat steps 2 to 6 for every single BG image there. Again, they are all loaded into your media library but not referenced.
    9. Go to your Widget Settings > Footer Column 1
    10. Remove the tag again referencing an image on swiftideas.com
    11. Go to your Widget Settings > Footer Column 4 and remove the code that references the email subscription service

And after all this your green padlock is back, althuogh Chrome will not allow the fontdeck script which is an issue I will post in a separate support thread. But the green padlock will come back. If not, “inspect page” and see what warnings come up to see what you’ve missed.
