Hey,
I have been building out a site using Cardinal over the last few days and I run into a bunch of issues – some are bugs I think and some may be just questions on what I am doing wrong.
Screen-cast and links in the next post.
Thanks.

Thanks again for testing the theme for us and providing us with a clear video on the issues, we really appreciate it. I will forward this to Ed so he can go over it and iron out the issues for the next update
Thanks
KyleOctober 22, 2014 at 9:08 am #122249No bother Kyle,
Its a great theme. I just want to get every issue 100% sorted before I launch my platform in a few months. Much better to do it this way, then send it out to clients and having to deal with constant support requests/questions from them.
I was gonna start a new thread for this, but may as well just ask here.
Would it be possible to integrate the FAQ custom post type from Dante into Cardinal. Its very lightweight and simple, but it does provide a very easy way to setup a FAQ page without having to resort to an external plugin…
Thanks.
October 23, 2014 at 12:51 pm #122653Hey,
Any update on my FAQ custom post type question from above?
Thanks.
October 23, 2014 at 1:45 pm #122674Will get back to you on this later Anthony, thanks!

October 23, 2014 at 1:47 pm #122676No bother.
October 23, 2014 at 2:03 pm #122683+1 on FAQ custom post type
October 23, 2014 at 7:32 pm #122791#1 – Need to set a blog page in Theme Options > Custom Post Type Options
#2 – Unfortunately not much we can do about the drag on top of the YouTube video, as the iframe captures the click.
Try adding this custom css for the issue of the posts being cut at either side:
.tab-pane .row { margin-left: 0!important; marginr-right: 0!important; }
and for the disappearing, I’m finding a solution for this (caused by the item without an image).
Have fixed the video size in the next build, can send this over soon if you like.
#3 – Set the background image movement to “Scroll” that is how you get the same effect.
#4 – This has been developed, will be implementing soon.
#5 – See above.
#6 – Adjusted for next build, so that columns are never greater than set in the asset.
#7 – Can’t seem to replicate this on your site – anything changed?
Bright
#1 – Add this custom css:
.bright-design h2.spb-heading, .bright-design h3.spb-heading, .bright-design h4.spb-heading, .bright-design .gform_heading h3 {
overflow: visible;
}#2 – css fix:
.bright-design .spb_tabs .nav-tabs.center-tabs { display: block; -moz-box-shadow: none; -webkit-box-shadow: none; box-shadow: none; }
Bold
#1 – Couldn’t seem to find this on the video?
#2 – Try this custom css:
@media only screen and (max-width: 767px) { .home_latest_products .spb-heading { position: relative; left: 0!important; font-size: 20px!important; margin-bottom: 30px; } }
October 23, 2014 at 9:03 pm #122804Hey Ed,
Thanks for that.
#1. Fixed
#2. No bother.
The disappearing issue makes the recent posts asset close to unusable, hopefully you can sort that.
#3. Sorted now, thanks.
#4, #5 and #6 – sounds good
#7. This is a temperamental one. Will try and replicate.
Bright:
#1 and #2 are now fixed. I don’t think these issues are isolated to my site – will these fixes be included in the next update?
Bold:
#1. This was to do with the disappearing issue. Click on the scroll buttons on the bold design and the posts would disappear.
#2. Sorted, thanks. Think I will just remove the button to the shop at a certain width as the title is too long to fit well.
========================
FAQ’s a possibility in a future update?
Thanks
October 23, 2014 at 9:26 pm #122805Actually, bright design #1 is not fixed.
See screenshot. Adding that css causes the sidebar titles etc to extend too far…

.bright-design .spb-heading { padding: 10px 0; margin-top: -10px; }
That will sort it!
Blog issue –
.blog-item.gallery { margin-left: 0; margin-right: 0; }
Fixed in next update.
Let me know if I missed anything from your reply.

October 25, 2014 at 11:23 am #123122Thanks Ed, both fixes worked.
Last question from this thread was re: the introduction of the FAQ custom post type in Cardinal, similar to Dante.
Any chance of that being incorporated in a future update?
Thanks.
October 25, 2014 at 12:36 pm #123127Adding it in this weekend, with category selection for the asset to allow for multiple pages!
