Hello,
I’m having a hard time understanding how and where to customize social sharing buttons.
I’ve already set up the social profile in theme option, but now I don’t understand how each page and portfolio work.
Is it possible to have different facebook/email/twitter account for different portfolio item, and where/how do I do that? I’ve been searching a lot on the forum and the web and cannot find. If there is a tutorial on this, or someone who could give me some hints it would be great!!
Thanks ๐
February 27, 2014 at 9:28 am #52322Hi
I think you are getting mixed up. The social icons on the blog and portfolio pages are for sharing that portfolio item/blog post. The ones that you can use as shortcode are the ones that link to your social media profiles.
Hope this makes sense!

February 27, 2014 at 9:52 am #52343mmmmm…. I’m not sure I fully understand.
I have different portfolio items for different artists and I would like to add a bar under a photo with icons linking to THEIR own facebook/twitter and email adress. Is their a way to do this within swift page builder or somewhere else?
Thanks for the help!
February 27, 2014 at 10:15 am #52356Ahhh sorry, unfortunately not using the shortcode. However you could add it in using html:
<ul class="social-icons standard "> <li class="twitter"><a href="http://www.twitter.com/#" target="_blank"><i class="fa-twitter"></i><i class="fa-twitter"></i></a></li> <li class="facebook"><a href="#" target="_blank"><i class="fa-facebook"></i><i class="fa-facebook"></i></a></li> <li class="dribbble"><a href="http://www.dribbble.com/#" target="_blank"><i class="fa-dribbble"></i><i class="fa-dribbble"></i></a></li> <li class="youtube"><a href="#" target="_blank"><i class="fa-youtube"></i><i class="fa-youtube"></i></a></li> <li class="vimeo"><a href="http://www.vimeo.com/#" target="_blank"><i class="fa-vimeo-square"></i><i class="fa-vimeo-square"></i></a></li> <li class="tumblr"><a href="http://tumblr.tumblr.com/" target="_blank"><i class="fa-tumblr"></i><i class="fa-tumblr"></i></a></li> <li class="skype"><a href="skype:#" target="_blank"><i class="fa-skype"></i><i class="fa-skype"></i></a></li> <li class="linkedin"><a href="#" target="_blank"><i class="fa-linkedin"></i><i class="fa-linkedin"></i></a></li> <li class="googleplus"><a href="#" target="_blank"><i class="fa-google-plus"></i><i class="fa-google-plus"></i></a></li> <li class="flickr"><a href="#" target="_blank"><i class="fa-flickr"></i><i class="fa-flickr"></i></a></li> <li class="pinterest"><a href="http://www.pinterest.com/#/" target="_blank"><i class="fa-pinterest"></i><i class="fa-pinterest"></i></a></li> <li class="foursquare"><a href="#" target="_blank"><i class="fa-foursquare"></i><i class="fa-foursquare"></i></a></li> <li class="instagram"><a href="http://instagram.com/#" target="_blank"><i class="fa-instagram"></i><i class="fa-instagram"></i></a></li> <li class="github"><a href="#" target="_blank"><i class="fa-github"></i><i class="fa-github"></i></a></li> </ul>
And remove the ones you don’t want to use, and obviously change the links.
Hope this helps!

It’s exactly what I wanted and it works great adding it with HTML thanks a lot for your help.
I also would like to put an icon with link to website I did’nt see that in the list. Is there a way? Thanks it IS very helpful!
๐February 27, 2014 at 10:36 am #52368Hi
Glad it worked, if you want to add one for their website you could add this to the list:
<li class="instagram"><a href="#" target="_blank"><i class="ss-globe"></i><i class="ss-globe"></i></a></li>
Make sure you add it within the
- tags.

February 27, 2014 at 10:59 am #52382Hello,
Works great for website link thanks.
But now I’m having another issue.
I can easily add HTML in the classic editor to add HTML but when I swich back to the Swift Page Builder everything disappears. I tried adding the code in the text part of the page builder but it only works within the classic editor. I’m probably doing somewhere wrong…February 27, 2014 at 11:03 am #52384Hi
You need to use the ‘Raw HTML’ page builder element.
– Kyle
February 27, 2014 at 11:33 am #52395OK, I found it, but it’s not working. I add the code you gave me in the raw HTML box:
<ul class=”social-icons standard “>
……When I update the site nothing happens and everything I wrote in the the RAW HTML disappears ….
Do you know what I am doing wrong?
February 27, 2014 at 12:45 pm #52421Please check that you are using version 2.15

February 27, 2014 at 1:01 pm #52426Please could you provide me with a log in so that I can check this out?

February 27, 2014 at 1:05 pm #52433The problem is that I’m working on localhost, so I’m not sure it’s possible for you to access it, is it?
It’s very stange, I tried many things, and all the codes I type in “text” disappears when I switch back to “visual”, in a text block, and in the RAW block it also disappears…. ๐
