smoothscroll for item on same page

I’m trying to use a smoothscroll from one of the buttons in the swiftslider to a row on my page.

(discover our brands should go to the “our productrange” row, with a bit of spacing so you can see the title underneath the menubar)
(contact should go to the contact section at the bottom of that page)

Hi,

In the extra class parameter for the button include “smooth-scroll-link” and it will automatically scroll to the section for you – and take the header height into consideration.

Do you mean for within your menu? Your link would need have the section id rather then the link ex: ‘#section-name’.

Yes , that I have, but i want to add the class to have the *smooth*scroll, how do I do that? ^^

Hi,

The smooth scroll should work from that. Have you enabled One Page Navigation?

You can add a class to a menu item, but this applies to the parent li and not the actual link. In Appearance => Menus click the top right “Screen Options” tab and click “CSS Classes”.

Just doublechecked and not resolved 🙁

When I’m at the homepage, the links do the smoothscroll. But when I’m at another page (for example dealers).

There the link became agensis.be/dalers/#cntct so that doesn’t work.

So i tried make inthe link “/#cntct” in the menu , but then the smoothscroll doesn’t work anymore + the item is highlighted constantly as active

You need to use a different menu on the homepage.

The links can only be #cntct.

Create two menus, one for the homepage with the smooth scroll links, then another menu for internal pages that need the deep linking.

Works like a charm, only I can’t find how to changeout the menu on a portfolio item?

For this, please add a new custom field in the portfolio item.

Name: sf_page_menu
Value: Menu id (ex: 28), this is found in the Appearance => Menus. Select your menu, in the URL you will see the id: menu=28.
