Smooth Scroll + Anchor Fix Request … Multiple menu option?

Hey team Dante,

The smooth scroll function looks great on our home page. Absolutely lovely.

When we jump to a sub-page, the menus do not bring us back to where we want to be.

Example:

http://www.grassie.net/ = homepage, scrolling works fine to “About”, “Books”, etc.

http://www.grassie.net/blog = blog, cannot click back to “About” section on homepage, instead it tries to send us to http://www.grassie.net/blog/#about-section, which does not exist as an anchor

IF we setup the menu link for the “About” item to link to http://www.grassie.net/#About-section, instead of simply #About-section, yes, it will link back, but it will no longer smooth scroll between sections. It will simply reload the page at that anchor point.

Can you tell us how to make this function intuitively, and how we expected it to? Thanks!

Hi Billy,

If you check the latest update (v2.6+), you will find a new option to override a menu on a per-page basis (in the page meta options). I would suggest you set up a different menu for the homepage, so that you can use smooth scroll (anchor links) for that page only.
