    Hello,

The rest of my Dante based site is working ok but I have 1 page which is awfully slow. Animations & scrolling the page is not smooth. Maybe there is some bug with the progress bar shortcode performance-wise, since it seems to slow down the page? Please help.

    Ah,

Sorry, I didn’t mean page load speed but the performance (=smooth animations). Now page scrolling is jagged for some reason (chrome + 2013 Macbook pro).

Ok I see, let me forward this to the developer. Hopefully he will be able to provide a solution

    Hi @rhodez,

It’s likely due to the fixed parallax areas on the page – can you try a test pay without those? Unfortunately fixed image backgrounds are quite taxing on browser performance.

    Hi.

Actually I’m using a lot of fixed parallax areas on the other pages of my site and don’t have any performance issues. My homepage has 4 parallax sections + animations for almost every element. And it doesn’t have any of this jagged scrolling behaviour. And if I delete the progress bar element, it works ok. So my conclusion is that there is some performance bug in the progress bar element.

    Thanks for this fix.

Actually I am on my way to update my site to the new Cardinal theme. It seems to have the same bug. Progress bars slow down scrolling until the progress bar animation has played. After that the page goes back to normal. Can you fix it in Cardinal as well? Thanks!

Yes – this has been fixed. Update coming this week 🙂
