Site Super SUPER Slow

Hi there,

My site load time is fatal, any suggestions? seems to be a real issue by the looks of the forum data.

Any help would be great, current load time is 17 seconds.

I’m also looking for help on this. It’s killing sales!!
I tried Super Cache, Total Cache, optimizing the database, optimizing photos…
I don’t have any plugins other than what came with theme and I’ve just switched to a VPS as this site was slowing down everything on my shared Dreamhost server (and I was getting 500 errors too).
Working in the WP admin area has also been slow and cumbersome at times (I read another thread with a user having this problem)

It’s comforting AND worrying to see others with this problem. What’s going on?!

My site is new and not heavy by any means.

sorry for the delay in reply,
your site loads within 1.8 seconds for me, the only file that loads within 3 seconds is the admin-ajax.php which is part of the WP core, not part of the theme.

ryan your site takes longer, but not significantly. The main reason for this is the image http://www.winterbournealpaca.ca/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/scarves_stack.png which is above 700KB.

It must be your internet connection, it loads quick for me too. I did a speed test and got 3.28s (see screenshot)

Thanks for checking this out.

Yes, but you will see in the screenshot within that attachment that is only shows the rev slider.

If you visit the website, the rev slider appears first, and then the theme appears slowly afterwards.
