Site slow due to TTFB, WC and Google maps

Hi there,

My site is extremely slow, but I have no clue what is causing it exactly.
I checked it with http://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/#!/dJk5py/http://www.hinkle.nl

From what I can see there are three issues.

– The biggest impact is the TTFB, is there something I can do about this?
– At the end, a few google maps calls are made, but I am not even using google maps on my site? I noticed the demo theme has the same. Can I remove this?
– wc-ajax=get_refreshed_fragments also slows it down a bit. I know it is very Woocommerce specific, but do you have any ideas?

Hi,

The results show a 8 second server wait time. This means your hosting is really not fast enough, is this a shared budget hosting plan?

I would recommend a few things:

1) Switch hosting to WP-Engine.
2) Use MaxCDN to deliver your content
3) Install a cache plugin for WordPress. WP-Engine will help you setup 2 & 3 and migrate your site.
