Hey guys. My site has been running slow ever since I launched it. I’ve never had these issues previously, but then again I have never worked with WooCommerce before. I have tried getting a proper cache, but they seem to fuck up completely when you have WooCommerce together with it. Any ideas how I can make it run faster?

    Hi

What’s your link? I’ll run a speed test on it

Thank you so much. My host is the fastest in Denmark, and so it definitely has to do with some things I messed up in the script and a lack of cache.

It’s the forward between www. and none www. http://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/#!/4OUYI/http://www.daniabikesbeta.com You will need to ask your hosts to resolve this

Thank you so much for getting back to me. Can you try to elaborate/explain it more in depth so I understand what exactly to tell them? Thank you!

hi we are getting a very similar slow forwarding from http to https

    http://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/#!/eyqdQ6/reikokaneko.co.uk

Any advice you could offer on explaining this to hosts / possible fixes would be much appreciated.

    Kind Regards,

    Chris

@Dresstive you’re providing your link with http://www., however when you include www. in the url in forwards to just https://daniabikesbeta.com because www. is not set up on your site. I only know how to set it up on WP Engine as it gives the option to add secondary domains, you will have to ask your host how to include it for your site.

    @MarieWorks
same for you apart from the other way around, when you load your site without www. it forwards to www.

    Hi Kyle,

Great – thanks for your help.

So we need to ask our host to add all the variations of our address as secondary domains?

    Thanks

    Chris

Hello. I will request this change. However, my site still runs slow outside of the forwarding thing. Everything takes a very long time to open and get to. I am sure your theme is perfect, so it must be something else. Do you have any idea what I could do? I tried setting up a cache but it did not work with the WooCommerce.

Hi @Deresstive – which hosting company do you use?

On site ground we are using Super Cacher and cloud flare CDN and it seems to of sped things up a little, though its definitely still not as fast as we’d like…

It will 90% be down to your host, we use WP Engine and couldn’t recommend them enough

Do you have any examples of Neighorhood sites made by customers that are running completely up to speed? I could use that to complain to my hosting company. The company I use is web hosting.dk and is the best rated in Denmark.

I’m afraid I can’t pick one off the top of my head, but you can use our demo as an example running on WP Engine
