    I always update when the new version of the theme are ready and since the last update I have sent been able to edit the language files. I have previously swapped out the files to make small changes to the language to fit might site better. But it is not working this time. I have changes some part both other remain unchanged has anything happened? can you point me in the right direction please?

    I want to change the references to shop/shopping bag in the cart drop down on the top menubar I have done this previously but cannot seem to adjust this since the last update.

    Thanks for your help.
    Chris

    Hi,

    Can you post the link of your site and provide us admin access?
    Where are you placing the files?

    Thanks

    There are 2 default places, 1 inside the wp-content/languages and the other inside the theme directory on the language directory.

    Maybe it’s better to add it in the child theme to avoid that you do that on every update.

    You should add this code in the functions.php of the child theme

    load_theme_textdomain(‘swiftframework’, get_stylesheet_directory().’/language’);

    then copy the translated files to that directory.
