    Before I get directed to a previous issue, I found this in another thread and this shrinks the sidebar width like I wanted:

    .page-id-12 .page-content.col-sm-8 {
    width:80%;
    }
    .page-id-12 .left-sidebar.col-sm-4 {
    width:20%;
    }

    However it does not extend the content area. It just creates a big gap between where the sidebar used to extend to and the page content. How do I extend the page width to fill the gap that the sidebar used to occupy? Example here
