    I want to create a side navigation Like the one in the demo for a few selected pages with the current page selected. I’ve attached an image as to what I’m referring to.

    Hi,
    You need to create menu at sidebar through Admin -> Appearance -> Widget -> Insert menu widget at sidebar. Hope it should help to you.
