Hi, I have just purchased Cardinal (coming from pinpoint).

I’m building my pages, If I hit the shortcode button in the editor, I get this message:

Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required ‘\wp-load.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/share/php:/usr/share/pear’) in /wp-content/themes/cardinal/swift-framework/shortcodes/config.php on line 26

    Thanks
    Max

    Can you try it again?

I made some changes in the parent theme to fix this. Can I upload a Cardinal Child theme with only that modification so we don’t lose that changes in a future update?

OK, shortcodes are working now, thanks. Regarding child theme, if this will avoid problems in future, maybe you could proceed to upload it. But I have no experience with child themes. I’m going to loose the pages I built until now?

No, you won’t lose anything. It’s just the best practice to extend or change something in the parent theme.
It’s done. Now your active theme it’s the child theme.
